STREET SALES :D :D :D
Today's street sales was fun :)
From the general point of view: Grace, Belle and Janessa went to set up the booth first, then joined by De Jun, then Yi Jing and me and Max. We managed to get a $50 donation from someone so kind and helpful.
From the personal point of view: Then I decided to wear the strawberry costume and went with Yi Jing to do street sales :) One very kind couple donated $12 plus at one go and the costume drew lots of attention (as was aimed). People stare, people point and people grab it. At one point there was even one lady who came up to donate to us because of the strawberry costume. Then Yi Jing and I walked back to the MRT station, to find De Jun and Janessa singing and Belle and Grace and Max working hard :)
From the general point of view again: Then the rest of those who were supposed to come today (and not supposed to come today) came and we sent them on street sales :)
From the personal point of view again: SHHHHHHHH. NO ONE WILL KNOW. EXCEPT US.
Then it became six and all of us split up the goods and went home! I carried the money home and now my arms feel like I had swum 12 laps in the swimming pool. And I have that fuzzy feeling when I am going to sleep or very tired. But still it was fun!
Next street sales, would be in August. So let's study hard for blocks everyone! (Although if you feel free you can arrange a comm outing or something, then do some more street sales. And get to know one other better.) And to promote sales try selling in school or to your classmates. They work. SELL SELL SELL and hand the money IMMEDIATELY into the bag once you get it. If you need merchandise to sell TAG now please.
Thank you so much everyone who put in so much effort this week and for the past few weeks!
:D
oh and a note to hwachers and guys in general: DO NOT COMPLAIN that girls have an advantage. I know a guy volunteer for our group who managed to get $70 in 4 hours. TAKE HEART, and just keep going for sales.

Coming Up
I sent this through email.
Hello all,
Street sales this week! We'll be setting up a booth in Orchard Road, near Wisma Atria and ION Orchard. It's a purely OT streets sales thing this week! Since school ends at 2.05 for most of us lets aim to set up the booth and start selling by 3.15p.m. We'll end street sales around 6, maybe 6.30 if sales are so good and people wont stop buying haha.
Thanks to Amanda, Janessa, Belle, Melissa and Grace the china factory has been in action. We have managed to produce a few hundred more pompoms. For street sales we will be selling pompoms, cards and the rest of the felt food.
Thanks to Deborah's family we now have COSTUMES as our mascots. They are: a giant donut, a massive muffin and a super-big strawberry. They will be there for aesthetic appeal and as a form of visual concept, so that people will be able to identify us easier and we will attract attention.
And thanks to Marcus, De Jun will be busking in the streets for us:) Maybe Janessa too. Hopefully it will attract attention and generate more income.
Right now those going on Monday are: Janessa, Yue Qi, Yi Jing, Amanda, Melissa, Deborah, Zheng Xuan, De Jun and Hyo Lim. If anyone else is free (or at least feeling free) and willing to go, please come and support!
Let's separate the 'things to bring' list:
Amanda- Table
Yue Qi, Melissa, Janessa- pompoms and cards
Deborah and Yi Jing- costumes
Hyo Lim- Collection bags, certificates, stickers.
Any objections please tell me!
Thank you to all the wonderful hardworking people.

I got around to doing up what Grace told me to - designing the badges ^^

Nice right?
I hope so, I think it's pretty sellable ;)
I was thinking it'd be good to actually package them like in 3s or 4s and sell them at around 5 bucks. Pretty cool!
My friend said it we wrap it in nice paper or plastic and tie a ribbon she'll buy, and I think she speaks for all of mankind, people <333 packaging!
Deborah doesn't believe me.
Any oh how... XOXOXOXOXXOXOXOXOXOXOXXOXOXOXXOXOXOXOXOXXO.
Love,
Janessa!!
